After 30 years in Law Enforcement, Stan retired as Sheriff of Benton County in Corvallis, Oregon.  Stan has been involved in SAR since 1974.  He has been Tracking since 1977 and teaching tracking since 1984.  His Law Enforcement career centered on investigating crimes against persons specializing in investigating child abuse, sexual exploitation of children and domestic violence; qualifying as an expert in those fields.  Since retirement Stan has moved to Sisters, Oregon and stays involved in domestic violence issues.  He teaches at the Law Enforcement Academy and consults and works with the Dechutes County Sheriff's Office and other Law Enforcement entities.
