Al is a semi-retired independent businessman who owns and
operates his own trucking company. He has more than 30 years experience
with Whatcom County search and rescue council and has held several officers'
positions. Along with the experience of managing his own business he has
had extensive training in the field of SAR Management which gives him experience
managing personnel in the field on SAR Missions. Al has been
involved in tracking since 1974 and a UTS certified tracking instructor since
1984. As a special deputy for Whatcom County he works directly with local
law enforcement agencies in emergency SAR situations and has participated in
several homicide and criminal investigations
